It seems as time goes by, more and more people are showing their true feelings regarding race. On Think Progress today, Alyssa Rosenberg shined a light on some BS written by New York Post columnist, Phil Mushnick:
As long as the Nets are allowing Jay-Z to call their marketing shots — what a shock that he chose black and white as the new team colors to stress, as the Nets explained, their new “urban” home — why not have him apply the full Jay-Z treatment? Why the Brooklyn Nets when they can be the New York N——s? The cheerleaders could be the Brooklyn B—-hes or Hoes. Team logo? A 9 mm with hollow-tip shell casings strewn beneath. Wanna be Jay-Z hip? Then go all the way!
Really, Mushnick? Just because a black rapper has some ownership of a sports team, this jerk-off says that the team should now be called “n—-s” and cheerleaders should be called “b—hes” and “hoes”. And the team logo would HAVE to be a gun because that’s the only thing that rappers represent, right? Why would the Post allow this to go to print? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. Freedom of speech is a right we all have, BUT it comes with responsibility. The Post should have squashed that racist/sexist crap and told him to re-write his article or it would be published.
